SILT TRAPS FOR uPVC AND TWINWALL DRAINAGE
Our robust, chemically resistant Polypropylene and Polyethylene silt traps are available in a range of depths and pipe sizes for your soakaway and attenuation requirements. We stock silt traps for 110mm & 160mm uPVC drainage systems, as well as 150mm, 225mm, 300mm twinwall drainage systems.
How Is A Silt Trap Utilised?
Placed upstream of your soakaway crates or attenuation tank, silt traps act as a filter for your drainage system. Without a silt trap your soakaway will begin to fill up with debris, therefore drastically reducing its effectiveness and its lifespan. Ultimately, it will need to be dug out and replaced.
The silt trap contains a bucket which catches any silt, soil and sediment, or even sanitary items and paper towels if placed downstream of a septic tank, which can then be removed simply by lifting out the bucket.
