Delivery Service Update

As you may already be aware, there are unprecedented shortages of raw materials which are reducing supply and increasing manufacturing costs for products across the construction sector; not just for plastics but also timber, steel, aluminium, glass, bricks etc.

These issues, compounded by increased transport costs along with the well-publicised driver shortages, are creating stock variations which may happen at short notice.

Whilst the vast majority of orders are running to the normal next-day delivery schedule (as below), it is inevitable that we may have some unexpected delays in acquiring the products or getting deliveries out to you, due to the ongoing situation. Please do allow 2 to 3 days for delivery or check with us beforehand if you require your order as a matter of urgency.

Coloured Fascia and Soffit Boards and External Cladding in particular are currently subject to extended lead times.

All large and bulk items sent direct from the suppliers are also subject to 7-10 days delivery timescales at present.

Build Plumb Plastics Ltd aims to give you the best customer experience in our industry. If you order online before 12:00 Monday - Friday (excluding weekends and bank holidays) and your order is over £250 + VAT, we will aim to dispatch the order the very same-day, with free next-day delivery. Orders received after 12:00 will be processed the following working day. Should your requirement be urgent, please feel free to contact our Sales Team at 01255 258525 and we will do our utmost to help.

If your order is below £250 + VAT, we charge a £24.95 + VAT small order surcharge.

Standard Delivery:

We will make delivery using our own transport (wherever possible) or a national next-day courier service, alternatively some consignments may be delivered direct by the manufacturer or via a pallet distribution network. We will send you an email upon despatch to notify you of the delivery method.

Non-Standard Delivery:

Free next-day delivery may not apply to the following items:

  • Coiled pipe exceeding 1.1m dia
  • Lengths exceeding 4.49m or >=200mm dia
  • Consignments over 80kg

We will deliver these items the next day wherever possible, although the lead time on these products is typically 2-5 working days. Additional carriage charges may apply to non-standard delivery methods. We will notify you as soon as possible of any issues regarding your delivery.

Due to the increased cost of haulage, 'Pipe-Only' orders may incur a £35 surcharge. To avoid incurring a Pipe-Only surcharge we recommend including a typical ratio of pipe fittings or other products with your order.

Our standard delivery excludes some destinations, including PA, FK, KY, PH, KA, DD, AB and IV postcodes, non-mainland UK and Northern Ireland. Delivery to these locations can take longer and may be subject to an additional delivery charge. Please contact the Sales Team for a quote.

Standard delivery applies to stocked products only, non-stock and special order products may be subject to additional delivery charges and extended delivery times.

Upon receipt of your delivery please check that you are signing for the correct number of parcels (as detailed on the drivers’ delivery note) and check that the goods are in an acceptable condition. Please ensure your delivery is checked while the driver is present and notify them of any shortages or damages. We recommend that you do not sign for goods as 'unchecked' as we cannot rectify any shortages or damages that have been signed for as 'received'.

Returns & Refunds For Online Purchases

If you are an individual and wish to return all or part of your online purchase, we're here to help. We accept the return of goods subject to the Consumer Contracts Regulation. Please contact a member of the Sales Team should you wish to return any goods. This will not affect your statutory rights.


For online orders, you have 14 calendar days from the receipt of your order to notify us if you wish to cancel/return an item for a full refund. You must return the materials within 28 days of receiving the goods.

To be eligible for a return, you must contact the sales team by telephone, mail or email.

Your items must be unused and in the same condition that you received them.

Your items must be in the original packaging.

Your items should be returned with your original invoice/receipt.

Non-stock items and special-order items are non-refundable.

We do not accept returns after 28 days from the day of delivery.

The customer is responsible for the cost of returning goods.

Our returns policy is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations and applies to individuals only and not to business customers.

Business customers may incur a standard restocking & processing charge of 25% (or any other charges incurred).


Your items should arrive well-packaged and in good condition. Damaged items or shortages should be reported immediately (and explicitly within seven days) to the Sales Team upon receipt of your consignment.  We cannot rectify any disputes for damaged or missing items after 7 days from the day of delivery.


Once we receive your returned items, we will inspect them and notify you of the status of your refund.

Assuming your returned items are acceptable, we will initiate a refund via your original method of payment.

We aim to process your refund within 14-days of receiving the returned goods
